St Anne's in the Community
The Bread and Butter Thing
Each Thursday, St Anne's staff, along with members of our parish, volunteer their time to support local charity 'The Bread and Butter Thing.' They aim to reduce food waste in the UK, while at the same time ensuring that surplus food goes to the people who need it the most. Food is sent to our church, where it is organised into affordable, balanced packages.
NCPCC Number Day
We had another wonderful day celebrating 'NSPCC Number Day' again this year. Children were split into groups and completed number-based activities around the school.
Thanks to your kind donations, we raised
CAFOD
During the period of Lent, we asked for donations to support CAFOD, the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development, by sending money to help those in need across the world.
As you can see from the video above, our donation of £230 was very gratefully received by the CAFOD team.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated during Lent.
St Joseph's Penny 2025
Thank you once again to our amazing children who took their empty 'St Joseph's Penny' boxes home and brought them back so full that they were starting to tear with the weight of all of those coins! Our fabulous year 5s and 6s used your pennies to construct this fantastic cross in the school playground as part of our 'holy mile' Lenten walks.
Our total raised was £276! Well done St Anne's!
Macmillan Coffee mornings and Cake Sales
Thank you to everybody who came into school to buy cakes in support of Macmillan cancer support. Thanks to your generosity, we have raised £140.45
